Course Evaluation Comments
At the end of each class all students are provided with a course evaluation form to rate the course and provide feedback for improvement. This anonymous document allows each individual to grade the instructor on their knowlede, skills, course orgainzation and presentation, all of which are rated on a scale of 1 – 5, with the higher number representing ‘Extremely Well’. This is provided anonymously in order to obtain the most honest responses possible, although students will occasionally sign them. Overall student responses since the courses were first offered average in the range from 4 (Very Well) to the 5 (Extremely Well). With all ratings averaged the results are closer to 5 than 4. Just wanted you to know how much your course meant to me. When I came to your class, from 1 to 10 I would have been a 9 in knowledge about a revolver, but in an automatic I would have been a 1. After your class with your help, the class room and seeing firearms up close and how they work, plus the range and getting hands on help with live firing, you got me up to at least a 9! I am glad I took this class. I now understand a lot more about handling a gun and when I can and cannot use it. I was an MP and a reserve police officer and never received training and information in such a way that it made sense the first time around. I took Chuck’s course and found it to be very interesting and informative. He teaches Maine Concealed Weapons laws and that is a big help in dismissing some preconceived ideas of what a permit entitles you to do and not to do. I found the classroom setting to be comfortable and the Power Point presentation to be excellent. Any questions that asked were answered without hesitation. I found that Chuck is very knowledgeable without being overbearing, a trait not found in a lot of former Law Officers. I would recommend his course highly.

The course was great, provided a great deal of information on firearms and laws regarding owning a handgun. Firearm safety is huge and the focus on this area was excellent. I found this entire course beneficial.
